The Shalla slim
This Float is ideally suited to slightly deeper Shalla Fishing or when you need to be ultra quiet or fish away from your pole tip. Effectively we could’ve called this the negative & positive Shalla Float,it has a multitude of purposes and on them specific days is unbeatable. This float can feature around 3/4 of the year. It’s ideal for late summer and when the fish are just a bit wiser and you need to be a bit quieter and ultimately fish away from the shadow of your pole. It’s also very effective in spring when you need to be in deeper water I need a little more control over your rig.
This pattern features what we call our Q.S.T what is this, “Quick Setting Tips”. They have short tips so When you combine this with the slightly longer stem the float is fishing quicker through the water which will lead to quicker by times. We have used 0.7 mil carbon on this float, we have done this for the two following reasons. Firstly the QST this will make the floats sit quicker in the water and be in direct control faster. Secondly stability the 07 carbon will give you better control over the float when you need to fish on a slightly longer lash away from your pole tip.
The float will be available in four sizes due to the variety of Baits that people will will use we have decided to carry on with our numbering system. Please note all our Shalla Floats are designed to take the weight and Bait. So in this case this flow has been tested using maggots and casters.
Number 1: This will take 1×12 shot
Number 2: This will take 1×11 shot
Number 3: This will take 2×11 shot
Number 4: This will take 3×11 shot
Please note these have been tested using the following equipment 0.16mm line, around 15mm of Korda 0.5 silicone, guru size 16 eyed LWG hook, Drennan mini band, using ballabeni shots.
These floats have also been extremely effective in the margins in testing when targeting wise and finicky F1‘s!
